Today I"d like to present you the "Peony City of China"--Shandong Heze. 

　　Heze, known as Caozhou in ancient times, located in the south west of Shandong Province. Bordered by Jiangsu Henan and Anhui. Heze was considered as the hometown of Fuxi Yao and Shun. It is the center of ancient China according to Records of the Grand Historian of China. 7000 years ago during the Beixin Culture period, ancient ancestors lived here. Thousands years later, Heze is a city with rich and unique intangible cultural heritage, suh as opera,calligraphy and Chinese painting martial art and folk arts. The local operas here are extensive and profound. Folk chants here are exquisite and fantastic. local folk music is as wonderful as jewelries. The local folk dance is simple and authentic. The national martial art is with vigorous and majestic style. There are 31 intangible culture heritages in this city. Heze is really a city with rich culture details.The story of Water Margin oriented from here. The story mentioned 108 great heros, among which 72 were from Yuncheng. Yuncheng Water Margin Haohan Park, Songjiang Lake, have already become major scenic spots and study trip destinations of the city. Heze can be count as old revolutionary base area. It used to be the capital of the base area as the center of Hebei,Shandong and Henan. It used to be the starting spot of the strategic counter offensive campaign of the Liberation War. 　　The peony of Heze is the most distinctive flower in China. It"s the icon of Heze city. Local cultivation of peony started form Sui Dynasty, and got popular in Tang and Song Dynasty. Heze peony has been famous for its large flower, graceful standing and bright colors. The area covered by peony plantations is up to 48.6 square kilometers, there more than 10 peony parks such as Caozhou Peony Garded, China Peony Garden, Baihua Garden. Here can be count as the biggest basement of peony in cultivation evaluation research and development exportation. Every April, peony flowers bloom through the land of Heze, in different pose, contend in beauty and facination, the land of peony looks like a fairyland. we have more the 1200 peony varieties, the volssom fully demonstrates the splendid described in the poem, thousands of petals looks like sunset, countless branches with buds like shining lanterns. Welcome to Heze, to experience the beauty which was eulogized in the famous lines. Xihu lake is the most distinctive one, while peony is the noblest flower.  

　　The Yello River winds 185 kms in the land of Heze. The Yellow River nurtures people here. Heze people are blessed with characters of simple, honest, reliable and trustworthy. They are ambitious and integrity. They are courageous and fearless in establishing career. Nowadays, along the Yellow River and the accient old river course, a green belt emerged. Fulong Lake Holiday Resort in Shanxian, Dongming Yellow River National Forest Park, Caoxian Yellow River Old Course Wetland Park. These Parks are pearls along the green belt.
